A special episode in English! The history of Stool 60 relates to the stories of Artek, Finland and 20th-century design, but all the while, the product itself has not fundamentally changed. 90 years on, Stool 60 remains the most elemental of designs – equally suitable in an office as in a kindergarten – and stands as an instantly recognisable symbol of the democratic values of Alvar Aalto and Artek. To celebrate the 90th anniversary of the iconic object and the L-leg, of course, Anni Korkman invites Artek 2nd Cycle’s design specialists Antti Tevajärvi and Timo Penttilä to the studio.
